GWOC
Delete your account
Last updated: September 7, 2026
This page explains how to delete your account in GWOC — Greater With Our
Communities (published by GWOC LLC), and what happens to your data when you
do. There are two ways to do it, and you do not need to be signed in to read this
page.
Option 1 — Delete it in the app
The fastest option. It takes effect immediately.
- Open the GWOC app and make sure you are signed in.
- From the home screen, tap Settings.
- Scroll to the Account section at the bottom of the page.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm when asked. Your account is deleted right away and you are signed out.
This cannot be undone. If you want to use GWOC again afterwards you will need to
create a new account.
Option 2 — Ask us to delete it
Use this if you no longer have the app installed, or cannot sign in.
Email info@gwocfl.com
from the email address on your GWOC account, with the subject
Account deletion request.
We will delete the account within 30 days of confirming the request. We may need to
write back first to confirm that you own the address.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes:
- Your login and sign-in identity, including a linked Google or Apple sign-in.
- Your profile: name, email address, display name, and profile photo.
- Your saved metro area and community, and your in-app preferences and settings.
- Your ratings, reviews, comments, photos, and other content you submitted.
- Your push-notification device tokens, so notifications stop.
- The app usage history recorded against your account.
What we keep, and for how long
A small amount of information survives account deletion:
-
Business listings. If you bought or managed a paid business
listing, the listing itself stays published and is detached from your personal
account. To take the listing down as well, say so in your deletion request and we
will remove it.
-
Payment and billing records. Records of purchases, held by our
payment processor Stripe, are kept for as long as accounting and tax law requires,
generally up to seven years. GWOC never stores your full card number.
-
Backups. Deleted data can persist in encrypted infrastructure
backups for up to 30 days, after which it ages out permanently.
